Dave just came round, his baggy's engine is in bits (started using a lot of oil), we think the oil control ring had worn out, anyway whilst he's got it stripped, barrel and head have gone to Slipstream for a 680cc conversion and a quick gas flow, they recon it should be good for 50-55 BHP at the back wheel once done :P .

I have a barrel that needs a re-bore anyway, dont suppose he wants to swap?

Sorry Kieth, the barrel is already at Slipstream racing, for a 102mm piston, and the head gas flowed, that will make it 686cc and give it a bit more oomph

The story continues... after receiving my head and barrel back from Slipstream, the rebuilding frenzy got underway, once completed and with great excitement the starter was thumbed!

Shock-horror!!, there was a woodpecker in there, yes in my engine, strange I thought, can't remember one being in there before, seems the high compression piston was just a bit to much for the half knackered small end, and it just couldn't cope.

Long story short.. Back to Slipstream for a new conrod, crank re-build, also while it's apart I'm having a taller 1st gear.

Watch this space...
