Mastif headlamps.

Hi All.
I have just purchased an 02 plate Mastif to use on my commute.
The bike is great fun apart from the useless headlights.
Does anyone know of any easy way to upgrade these to something I can see with?

well it looks like a diet heavy in carrots is the answer.

I don`t think anyone here can answer the question but at the moment you can`t be any worse than they are.

i replaced one on an old bmw a friend uses for a daily driver with
a complete unit for the rt125 and he loves it
about $110usd at the time
make sure you tell the parts guy which side of the road your country
drives on so he sends the proper unit

Lights - replace bulbs with better items like Phillips/Bosche/Halford Ultra Bright (same power but about 30% brighter) - adding small rectangular spots like Nobog did (Halfords have cheap, small spots). make sure you install with a relay and independant switch. Will probably being doing this sometime myself

I find out that the original headlights to my Mastiff sucks big time. I then decided that I want to replace them with a similar designed lights. The problem is that I have no clue where to find it.

hi,
I fitted the streetfighter style twin headlights to my baggy
similar to Item number: 8065747124 on ebay.co.uk
they arn't the best out there but have lasted for 4yrs so far. . .

I replaced my headlights with a aftermarket dual sport unit. Has 55w with good reflector and even had a parking light!

Andyw if you ever get to Fife I`ll gladly give you a spin on Purrdy.
Since that post she is a wee bit faster after fitting Dolefins.
Crazy scary in any sort of a chop at that speed though.
Oh you can share petrol costs.
She gets through about 67 litres an hour.

Did you just junk the front ironmongerey and fit them to forkbrackets?

BRAAAP ! How did you fit the streetfighter lights?
I got some 3mm plate, bent it into a C shape to form a bracket to hold the lamps and the bolted the whole lot to the metal work on the front.. .
I'll try and get some pictures to show you inna bit. . .

Can anyone suggest a "prettier" way of waterproofing the clocks other than pond liner and tape . . .
