ETZ300 Exhaust locking ring

Any tips on how to remove a reluctant locking ring on an ETZ300. I've tried a couple of days worth of PlusGas but I suspect it hasnt been removed for a while. Thanks, Jim

Attempting it hot will help, otherwise - a longer spanner helps.

If it really won't move, it's probably cross threaded, then all bets are off.

first make sure you have a c spanner that really fits well. Heat helps but I also recommend giving the end of the spanner a healthy belt with a hammer. Seems to break up the carbon that forms in the threads.
