Throttle cables,

Postby Lpo90 » Wed Nov 06, 2013 4:08 pm

Hi I have an 88 etz250, does it make a difference which cable on the throttle twist grip goes goes on the left or right of the twistgrip. I believe 1 of the cables operates the choke and the other the actual throttle. Is this right? If so does it matter which one goes either side?

The cables going into the twist grip are one for the throttle, and for the oil pump.

No it doesn't matter which goes where, but do make sure that the oil pump lever moves when you operate the twist grip. If it doesn't you could seize the bike in short order.

If you decide not to keep the fairing, there's a good market for ETZ full fairings if they come with the bracketry.

For me, I reckon they add too much weight to the front end, but the worst thing about them is the reflected noise from the engine. It drives me mental!

Agreeing with you again arry! What is the world coming to? Get rid of the fairing, sell it on eBay and spend the money of beer and 2-stroke oil!
