Mine is a mess too. I've been thinking about slipping some shrink wrap, the kind used for wires, over it. Don't want to remove the starter.

Did mine couple of weeks ago it was cracked too - 13mm dia roughly, from crankcase back to top connection on oil tank . No problem, spring type clip at the crankcase end and not a particularly tight fit. No need to remove starter, long flat driver from rightside of bike to persuade it up a bit from the case, go round the other side and pull it up/off. I thought it looked a bit mean at first sight but actually was very easy. :D

The one I'm talking about is a breather but returns to the oil tank, it's about 13mm o/d but isn't the one you are meaning, sorry. Didn't I read something about the airbox one involving a coarse filter? I know the one you mean and will have a look in a min 8)

Yes, still easy. I've marked the pipes in the photo, red is the front one/to oil tank connection I was talking about, yellow is to the airbox. I actually had that one off too as the clip wasn't on correctly. Same applies although I replaced the spring clip with a jubilee clip on the front one. Hope that helps and disregard the coarse filter comment..........

Hi, has anyone changed the oil breather pipe to a 'catch tank' to prevent the air filter getting dirty?
