My '96 Skorpoin Sport just got a major service, in addition to all the excellent suggestions above,
I serviced the rear mono shock pivots and front forks.
Front:
-fork oil change , you'd be amazed at the mud !
-steering head bearing re-grease
Rear:
-caught the spherical bearing at the bottom of the shock just in time , flush with solvent and re pack with Moly Disulpide
(CV JOINT) grease.
- re grease all needle roller bearings swing arm and shock pivot All should be possible without removing the seals, altho next time around I'll probably do those. The MZ assembly people are obviously very stingy with grease, hardly any in there.
There's a good article for this work:
http://www.totalaptitude.com/skorpion/Page%201.htmI'd like to hear what antifreeze is OK on these bikes, I've been running ordinary Prestone, but I wonder about all the
concern over phosphates etc.(?)
