Hello,
I am trying to find information on the Wilf Green ETZ 300 model with regards to the sqish band and ignition settings employed on that model.

Hi BARRIE,

As you may know the Wilf Green ETZ300 was made by him to offset the low torque of the 250cc bikes,
but the squish clearance and the timing are the same as the 250,
Squish 0.9-1.2mm.
Timing 3mm -0.5 so 2.5mm to 3.0mm.
Start by setting to 2.5mm, as the points cam heal wears the ignition will advance.

My son had 3 different Wilf Green 300s and each had different squish clearances, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm,
this could be down to bad machining.
The larger the squish the more flexible the engine was but at the expense of top end speed, 3mm would just about do 65mph.

Hope this helps
