float height in carburetta

Hi I have joined this forum on behalf of my father who has recently purchaed an old Simpson S51 (50cc) I believe this is an MZ motorcycle.

He needs to find out what the float height should be in the carburetta as he thinks it is running too richly.

Any information would be greatly appreciated !

According to this manual

the float height is 27 to 29 mm as measured from the gasket face.
