Anyone know what this is?

I don't have the bike yet, but when I test rode a 1995 Scorpion Cup, this part didn't look right, not to mention I don't know what it is. Does anyone know what this could be? I was thinking steering dampener, but I didn't think the Cup came with one.

Looks liek a steering damper to me. Probably an aftermarket one.

That's what it looks like.It could have been added if it didn't come stock.sorry,I didn't see the above reply.

Would agree,it is a steering damper...not stock equipment on any Sport to my knowledge
