TS 125 12 volt conversion

Postby stevedowling1 » Wed Jun 10, 2015 11:52 am

Apologies if this question has been asked before. I'm new to the forum and did a quick search but couldn't find an answer. I am converting my newly acquired TS 125 to 12 volt. I'm using the Powerdynamo system and having problems understanding the instructions. After completing the wiring as far as I can by following the instructions there are some wires left over that are not explained. One is the Green/Red which origibnally connected the terminal 61 on the old voltage regulator to terminal 61 on the ignition/lighting switch on the headlamp. I have disconnected this and its mating wire from terminal 61 in the headlamp and joined them together as stated in the instructions but it doesn't say what to do with the other end of the wire where it previously connected into the old regulator. The other loose wires are the pair of black wires that previously connected to the old ignition coil. What do I do with these?
One other query: where does the black wire from the new cut out relay connect to. The instructions just say "a live wire from the ignition switch when it is switched on" but I don't want to connect the new battery and try to find such a wire until I'm sure everything else is correct.
Help would be much appreciated.
Regards
Steve
