mz charger unit

hy.

i have a custom build mz with most of the wire's done exept for the charger unit and some details. i do no longer have the head unit on with the charger warning light and forgot what colours i need to connect ( thought red black and red green but there are allot of those wire's) so the dynamo would charge the battery. and can i just connect them or does it need a light in between them?

it is the mz etz 251 with the print plate type ignition. ( 91 or 93 model)
