Baghira 660 Overheating?

Postby minto87 » Wed Mar 05, 2014 12:34 pm

ughhh this doesn't look good!

I just got back from a ride and was just checking over the bike when I seen this... think the fan has stopped working? Checked the coolant levels and they are fine

Any advice?

I've ridden my Baggy for 3 years and even kicking it's head in on baking hot days and the fan has never cut in. The fan works when shorted out and the switch tested ok too, I've now wired in an led dash light to warn me when and if it does cut it, I think now if the fan isn't spinning I'm not worried.

Looking at your pictures you have and ill fitting exhaust next to your tupperware air box. :smt005

patch the hole in the air box and see what happens

and get a heat shield between pipe and that plastic

Hi,
I suspect you have an after market exhaust fitted?, if you cant rotate the link pipe try insulating with a quality exhaust wrap.
You will also need to repair the melted hole for correct mixture & running.
Best regards

Took the bike to my mechanic, turns out the the previous exhaust caused the problem.

Going to get the hole patched soon
