Wheel Building

Postby Millsy49 » Wed Mar 12, 2014 10:19 am

I'm at the wheel building stage - a job I've not done before and there are no builders that I know of within 100 miles. The rims and hubs look good the issue is rusty spokes. I have new spokes and nipples. I am considering removing and replacing one spoke at a time. Anyone done this - will it work? I've got a makeshift jig.

Cheers

Difficult to get new spokes in this way, you need to bend them and then try to get them tensioned correctly.

Look through this thread for advice on wheel building
