Anyone know a Shop in or around NYC that works on MZ's?

Back ground --

Hello Everyone I'm new to this forum but have owned a MZ Saxon Tour for the last 8 years. Rode it regularly for the first 4 years with little problem and was able to sort out anything on my own. Had to store it for about 4 years while living in the UK now back in NYC and been riding it for the last month after rebuilding the carb. Running ok but has tendency to stall in traffic and needs an oil and filter change.

BMW dealer shop used to change oil for me but when called they said they will no longer work on anything but BMW bikes. I have used Speed on 95th street in the past for an old Cagiva I had but cant remember if I ever brought my MZ there. I was going to bring it by Brooklyn Moto because I liked the concept of the shop including parking and storage with a sense of community. I know they have no idea about these bikes but they seam like good knowledgeable mechanics and passionate about their work. But skeptical to bring it there even just for an oil change knowing they have never even seen one of these bikes before.

Sorry for the long winded posted but as its my first I thought I would give you a little background.

Any help with this would be appreciated and look forward to being part of your community.

Thanks,

Neil

Not anywhere near NYC, but here's my take on the same problem...
I've learned to do most of the maintenance myself, but there are a few things I wouldn't tackle.
In that case, there are two shops local to me where I wouldn't hesitate to take my bike.
Both are NOT brand specific and it's always busy in the shop.
I've bought something (tires + installation, cables, oil/filter, etc.) from both shops, to begin a relationship, and feel comfortable with either.
From your description, I'd give Brooklyn Moto a go.
My 2 cents.

the engine is a yamaha engine, same as the yamaha xt 600 engine, except that they added water cooling, basically the same engine as in the 2001-2005 660 raptor atv except differed carburetor and reverse. i would say any shop that can work on a yamaha will do just fine

The Skorpion uses a Yamaha 660 engine, but the Saxon uses a Rotax 500.
2001 Skorpion Tour. Of about 50 bikes I have owned, this is the one I have kept the longest.
