Hi there folks,

I'm a bit new to the world of MZs, though I've had Bantams for ages. I don't know much about them at all, but I've just acquired a 1984 TS 125 which looks like someone assembled it from a pile of bits. It's ratty, but will be a fine machine with a bit of attention.

I have a few questions. It has a 3.00-18 tyre on the front and a 3.00-16 on the rear. My Haynes manual says I should have 2.75-18 front and 3.00-18 rear.

Now, I'm probably going to change the front, since the tyre is a little ropy and the mudguard stays only just clear the tyre.

But at the back, I've no real need to change the tyre, but the speedo will under read if the rim is really the wrong size. What should I do? live with it?

Secondly, the rear wheel spindle is about 4mm too long and is packed out with washers. Who are the favourite parts suppliers for these older MZs?

Thanks for looking
