2002?03 MZ Moskito sx vacuum problems

hello everyone newbe here just bought a 2002 or 2003 not to sure but its the one with the big fat tires, and the foot pegs for a chick to sit on the back, sooo... hears my problem for some reason its not getting any suction threw the reeds even when i take the reeds off and turn it over it still gets no suction i just dropped a fresh new piston in it thinking that was the case but now i see that it was just a waist of fifty bucks someone told me that it was a compression problem so thats y i replaced the piston but all its doing is put put but only when i hold down the starter button anyway anyone out there know what to do just let me know thanx
