'74 TS 250 Chugs when I let off on accelerator

Hi Folks:

I've got a nice TS 250 that starts and runs great, but when I'm driving and I let off on the accelerator, the engine pulses and chugs causing a slightly herky-jerky ride. I usually correct for this by giving it a little bit of gas to smooth things out, but this is not a perfect solution. Any idea what might be going on here?

Try changing the needle position in the carb either 1 notch up or down.
