hi all
here's one for you

when i turn the ignition on, the rear light comes on and when i turn the lights off it stays on.. i've got a minimal brightness from the front brake and nothing from the back. its a mz rt125 on 12 volts

crappy little relay 19 sticking it gray and mounted near the battery in rt125
has red /white wire and red/black wire and a green wire
search for relay 19 in site search

hi david

sourced the problem mate, light switch at rear master cylinder has went. took the rear brake connector off it and it now works with front brake only. ordered new switch £16 so not bad.

re read your post must have been reading to fast and thinking to slow
now registers as switch shorted inside to ground
and have seen this before but it blew fuse

these rt125s are beginning to make me think my 50's 200cc triumph tiger cub
T20 Tiger Cub 1956-69 200 ohv single Meriden
Also called Cub; Bantam Cub 1966-69; Super Cub 1967-69

had a good electrical system except for the magneto

but the rt125 is a much better bike over all
the transmission in the cub was a piece of trash
my dad made all new bronze oillight bearings for it and it lasted about 2 years
before he had to do it again.....
when he did it the second time his only comment was get a BMW and stop trying to
run this thing .....
