:smt006 : New member, first post.

I have a 1986 ETZ 125 that I bought as a runner (just) many years ago. I stripped the primary drive for a problem with the clutch; all the basket/chainwheel rivets were loose.
One thing led to another and eventually I had the whole engine in pieces. Basically, an engine overhaul was needed and the value of the bike at the time meant that this simply was not a viable propostition, and so the project as a whole was abandoned.

Back to the present day, the bike has spent the last twenty years outside under a tarp; I've taken pity on it once again and decided to resurrect it from the dead.

First big surprise was to find how freely available parts are now; didn't have the internet, eBay etc. way back then. I' m assuming that some of these freely available (pattern) parts are likely to be of dubious quality and look forward to any comments or advice in this direction.

I have a number of questions concerning the engine rebuild which I'll post later. Thanks in advance.
