Hi,
My name is Dave and I have just joined this forum.
I don't own an MZ but I am looking a buying one in the very near future.
My intention is to convert it to a road going café racer.
I love 2 strokes and own a Suzuki gt250 x7 as well as a GSXR 600 K4.
Has anyone on this site converted an MZ to a café racer?
If so, what models make the best donor bike?

Many thanks Dave

Welcome Dave
Not made a cafe racer myself but there are quite a few about. I always think the TS250 tank works well and I think the TS250/1 engine is the nicest engine they built. This one has had a ETZ front end fitted so it stops as well as it goes

ES250 Doppelport, ES250, ES250/1, ES250/2,ETS 250, ES150, ETS150, BK350, IWL Pitty, SR56 Wiesel, SR59 Berlin, Troll............ and thats just the German two strokes!

Many thanks for the reply, yep that tank does look better than what I've seen so far.
